New Features

Version 3.9 of the QlikView Expressor data integration platform introduces the following new features:

QlikView Expressor Editions

The Desktop Edition is a free version of the QlikView Expressor data integration platform that provides Desktop (Studio) graphical user interface functionality on desktop systems--Windows 7 and Windows XP. The Desktop Edition can be used to design and run dataflows with the three Extensions--QlikView, Salesforce, and Excel--and with the Teradata TPT operator. It does not, however, provide access to the command line utilities, which enable dataflows to run independent of Desktop interface.

The Standard Edition provides access to the command line utilities so that dataflows can be deployed and run independent of Desktop interface. It also adds access to the QlikView Expressor Repository for storage and version control. The Standard Edition can be run on Windows Server 2003 and 2008 as well as Windows 7 and Windows XP. Performance of the Data Processing Engine in Standard Edition is limited to 8 cores.

The Enterprise Edition provides access to all the functionality of the Standard Edition plus Engine performance provides unlimited CPU usage.

The Standard and Enterprise Editions require purchased licenses.
